Building Materials
Granite is one of the oldest, most durable and most respected of building materials. Traditionally, it is the material chosen by both architects and engineers when performance, enduring colour and texture combined with complete freedom from deterioration and maintenance, are prime requirements. Each piece of granite is created deep in the earth from magma. It has a very dense grain which helps it endure the toughest of weather conditions whilst making its stain resistance one of the best in natural materials.
We stock both reclaimed granite and ‘new’ Portugese granite. Portugese Granite is a very good colour match to our local granite, and will weather up nicely in a short space of time. We can also order in various items of Portugese granite, should we not hold stock of a specific size you are looking for.
Granite Cobbles/Setts
Granite Cobbles/Setts can be used for paving driveways, paths and yards also for edging and walling. We stock both Reclaimed and ‘New’ Portuguese Cobbles/Setts, you can buy them singly or by the tonne for larger areas.
Reclaimed Granite Cobbles
These beautiful old cobbles have been reclaimed from streets, so have a worn and weathered surface which would add real character to any area.

New Tumbled Cobbles / Setts
These setts have been tumbled to soften the edges which also creates the effect of ageing.

New Shotblast Cobbles / Setts
These cobbles are sawn before being tumbled and shotblast, which gives them a flatter top and bottom surface, making them easy to lay evenly and ideal for situations where a smoother surface is required. The tumbled and shotblast finish gives them a natural look and suitable grip for all weather conditions. Available to buy individually or per tonne.

Granite Coping
Made from Portuguese Granite our coping has a shotblast finish on the top and two edges, along with drip channels on the bottom of both sides.

Granite Quoins
Our Granite quoins are available in natural split or rustic dressed. The natural split are made approximately to the following sizes, whereas the rustic dressed are cut to these measurements with a face and side redressed with a rustic finish.

Granite Lintels
We can supply both reclaimed and ‘new’ granite lintels. Reclaimed lintels come in various sizes, subject to availability. New granite lintels are available in the following sizes, up to 3 metres in length:

Reclaimed Posts
We regularly have a selection of Reclaimed Granite Gateposts available, these posts do vary in shape, size and length, but are perfect for maintaining the rustic charm of older properties.
New Granite Posts
Our new Portuguese Granite gateposts are available in a shotblast dressed or rustic finish. These posts make for great entrances for a driveway and suitable for hanging gates. In both finishes we stock a range of sizes in flat tops, pyramids and rounded tops. Please see full list of sizes:

Granite Steps
Reclaimed steps come in various sizes, subject to availability. We have a few options of new granite steps in silver & brown colours, details are as follows:

Bullnose Steps, 1200mm x 400mm x 50mm
Straight Edge Step, 300mm x 175mm, 1.2 metres, 1.5 metres & 1.8 metres in length.
Bespoke sizes could be cut to size from other granite available or ordered from our supplier.
Granite Kerbs
Reclaimed kerbs come in various sizes, subject to availability. New granite kerbs, with a natural split finish on all sides, in silver & brown colours: 200mm x 80mm in various lengths from 900mm -1100mm. Priced per metre.
Granite Flagstones
These beautiful old flagstones come in all different sizes up to 1.8m x 900mm, calibrated to 50mm. With their worn surface they create the look of traditional flagstone flooring and pavements. They are subject to availability, so please give us a call for further details.
Granite Plinths
These granite plinths are for use with an oak framed porch or building. Available in silver & brown colours. We can also drill a hole and supply a steel pin if required.
